Thx for sharing. This is so important. Great article. I’ve had breast cancer. There is no other kind. Even if a guy gets breast cancer it’s not called chest cancer.
So the question for me is why these women are using these words? I will never use the pronoun that doesn't match biological sex, Mr Mulvaney is a confused boy- there are no trans people, it is sex destroying surgery, and MAP's are pedophiles, We need to take back our language.
Imagine having so little to worry about that gender inclusive language makes you recoil with "WHAT ABOUT MEEEEEE?!?"
As a woman I couldn't care less what language they use. I know countless other women that aren't hurt my "chest feeding" or "birthing person". There are actual real problems in the world. Please don't lump us in your terfy articles.
Couldn’t the same be said for anyone pushing for this “inclusive” language? I’m here, having a distinctly female experience, and I demand language change to suit my specific preference?
Maybe I was far too influenced by The Giver in middle school, but this language strikes me as dangerously dehumanizing.
I got sent to reeducation camp at work for accidentally calling a she a she. Somehow "WHAT ABOUT MEEEEEE?!?" wouldn't apply in minds like hers and Kathy's, however. 🙄
Imagine having such little education on a topic that it leads you to dismiss the concerns of women who have been historically excluded from health research. You realize many conditions are exclusive to the female body yes? You realize the overwhelmingly females identify as women, yes? You realize that many conditions show up differently in men and women, yes? But yeah let’s create even more confusion in language and research around women’s health to be “inclusive”. Can’t believe so many women are ok with having themselves erased in such an important way.

Thanks for reprinting -- a smart and much-needed common sense column by Tricia.
at the same time men are worried about their clothes, hair, skin, nails. listen to Jason Whitlocks podcast discussion of football player Cam Newton

It is shocking that all this is happening. Nothing seems to get better

Ah, that would be the post-puberty, intact biological men trying their best to insure there are no spaces that (god forbid!) exclude men.
