Mr. Posner is right. "The epidemic that Purdue helped unleash did not stop at the gates of privilege. . . It is a vivid reminder that addiction spares no one."
I highly recommend PHARMA. I read it from cover to cover.
Amazing. Addiction has indeed come full circle. Reading PHARMA, you will be amazed by the pure unbridled profit driven motives of Perdue Pharmacy for Oxy.
Whewwww....when I started reading Pharma, I threw that book across the room. I still haven't finished reading it. I am still mad at the Sackler family till this day. But to find out one of their family members has an addition is mind boggling. Sounds like pot meet kettle. I think I have calmed down enough to try and finish reading Pharma
Just one more sad example of the fact that the American "Justice" is hardly just at all anymore. If you're Democrat, or wealthy, or Socialist, or an illegal immigrant or other criminal, or just hate Trump, you are protected. And if you're none of the above, you're not.
Our county recently unveiled a program where naloxone is now available in public places (our local library). I'm trying to think more deeply about these sorts of programs, that may be well intended, and life-saving, but seem problematic. Any thoughts? Newsom's new diaper give away scheme is not problematic, it's a scam and a grift :)
Just one more sad example that the American "Justice " system is anything but just. If you're Democrat, wealthy, and illegal immigrant or other criminal, or socialist, or just hate President Trump, you're "protected". And if you aren't, you're not.
Why not the same fervor for Indivior pharmaceuticals regarding their (alleged?) push of their product suboxone and using the "opioid crisis" et alia, like PROP and Shatterproof? Why not also look into this multi million dollar scam and all the injuries and addictions that followed? Let's not get our scientific information from a Netflix special.

Thanks Sandy
