The FBI File on Beverly Sackler
Raymond and Beverly Sackler's Communist Party membership circa 1940s
In April 2018, while researching my book Pharma: Greed, Lies and the Poisoning of America, I came across a 45-page FBI case file (100-NY-73194) on Beverly Sackler, nee Feldman. At the time, Mrs. Sackler was alive. The National Archives redacted in part 15 pages ]to “protect the personal privacy of living individuals.”1 Twenty-five pages were released in full. The complete file is published for the first time with this post.
It contains the information about a confidential informant who took secret photos of the 1944 membership list of the Communist Party Kensington Club on Church Avenue in Brooklyn, New York. Both Mrs. Sackler, and her husband Raymond, were card-carrying Party members.
I write about the early left wing affiliations of the Sackler family in Chapter 8, “A ‘Jewish Kid From Brooklyn,’” and Chapter 11, “A Haven for Communists.” I will over the coming months, as time permits from my research on new projects, publish some of the other FOIA files I obtained on the Sacklers.

Wow😳 It's amazing just how much this family hides in its closet
