San Francisco may set a new micro-apartment standard. The city's current legal minimum is 290 feet, but is considering dropping it to a 220 foot total. Take out the space for the bathroom, kitchen and closet, and you're left with a 150 feet of living space. In a city with super expensive rents, a serious housing shortage, and a lot of single people, micro seems the way to go. Tough to imagine that micro-apartment dwellers aren't going to spend most of their times outdoors.
