Yes control immigration. Those that are lucky to get in must assimilate. But neither AUS or the UK have first amendments so their approach to dealing with this problem will not work in the US. We’ll be watching to see how this works in each country - whether successful or abusive.

In an ideal world, yes. But if the Islamists who cheer for Hamas and ISIS are already living there, and in other Western countries. Do you not think there should be some restrictions on their embrace of terrorist chants and symbols when they are the fuel sometimes for lethal suicide attacks and generalized violence?

This is a horrible move against liberties and speech. It is not a solution for the problem by any stretch. The right to free speech exists not to protect only uncontroversial speech. The role of the government is not to eliminate all risk of harm, discomfort, and offense. The world needs fewer countries like Germany and more countries that model the USA and its Constitution.

The solution to the problem in Australia and other “western” countries is not allowing people to enter and remain who hate the country and its people, who have no intent to assimilate, and who in fact seek an alternative political legal system that subverts the established government.
