I trust the magnificent French people will rise up against this perfidy, this freedom destroying Trojan horse, in the same direct manner in which they dealt with the Bastille, metaphorically speaking of course.
I argued vociferously against "health gurus" during the pandemic, I will argue vociferously against their suppression as well. Dynamic societies function through willing cooperation rather than authoritarian controls--if we lose the cooperation, no system of authoritarianism can ever replace the dynamism and efficiency that we had before. Laws like this threaten the cooperation at the basis of the west's success
Totally agree. But that said, before social media we had ‘authorities’ to which we listened usually over morning coffee as we read our newspaper, on the evening news, or at our doctor’s office. Now everyone is potentially an authority so consensus is virtually impossible (until the rate of death is unbearable, has reached into our preferred population and is possibly irreversible). Is there NO authority we should accept prima facia, until solidly proven otherwise. Certainly you have to believe that the evidence for the initial vaccine exceeded the evidence against it, even as efficacy and necessity has fallen and certain risks increased.
One of the fundamental roles of government is the enforcement of legitimate free speech. It is essential to protecting the integrity of the scientific consensus and ensuring the freedom of the public from harmful information.
Now is the time for those who know what’s best for us to rise up and save us from ourselves.
As a physician… wow! This is a horrible legislation!
The Second Fall of France.....

George Orwell and Ayn Rand would say, I told you so.
Tyranny. Let the uprisings begin.

Can’t wait till they apply it to climate ‘science’.
